Lilly came to visit us at Berwick Vets a few weeks ago following multiple episodes of vomiting. After a close look, we found that Lilly had a piece of red sewing thread wrapped around her tongue! Unfortunately, this was only the tip of the iceberg and the rest of the string was trapped within her digestive tract, unable to move as it was anchored around her tongue. Lilly was extremely brave and endured a tough surgery, requiring 5 separate incisions into her intestines and one into her stomach to remove the entire length of thread.
We are pleased to report that she has recovered extremely well, and hope that she doesn’t fancy eating thread anymore!
